COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a noob! But my housemates have hosted a ton. Nothing like a stranger to stir up a stale scene. The best of them notice the cracks in the varnish.

Movies are difficult. But I do really like Wes Anderson and the Cohen Brothers. Some Terry Gilliam. Also In the Mood for Love, (a Wan Kar Wai film.)

Music is impossible. I sing. Many things. Most recently an invented medley about abstinence and arson: "Song Against Norwegian Sex Wood."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fifty naked Stanford students skipping around a maypole with fat fabric ribbons then descending into a (cooked) beet fight (I've seen this twice. Three times next weekend.)

Big Sur swallowed in fog right before the rain broke, visibility at a minimum, me certain there was a one-eyed old crone waiting with a riddle right around the corner of my cliff-hugging trail ready to pluck out my own eye as punishment for a wrong answer. Made the pack a little lighter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to knit, play guitar, bake bread, cook for 50, hula hoop ...

I'd love to learn aerial fabrics, trumpet, a new dance step, portuguese, to surf ...
