I'm a 30 year old from Kerala , India living in Czechia for the past 7 years . An aircraft engineer by profession, I lead a small team as part of my responsibilities . I love slow travel , small towns,quiet mornings and long walks . Not a loud backpacker , more of a calm explorer :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in people and places equally . I believe the best part of travel is sharing stories and food , cultural exchange and experiencing local life and understanding how life feels in different parts of the world. Rather than a cozy hotel room , I'd much rather be at someone's home who is happy to welcome me and share their time and place .

I would love the opportunity to host travellers but please do write a request including details of your travel and why you want to stay with us . We have our pets ( dog and cat). If you have any questions regarding them please include it in your request . Brno is a beautiful city and I'd love to show you around . If you're interested in badminton I can even take you to the group I play with . I will help you with recommendations and even help you plan but please let me know atleast few days before so I can make time for you .

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies from the 90's , movies from my local language (Malayalam) and I'm always trying to find non english international movies worth watching . Some of my favourite gems are The Miracle(Turkey), A girl walks home alone at night (Iran ) , Pan's labrynth (Spain) , Pelíšky / Cosy dens(Czech) and Capernaum ( Lebanon) . I will happily share my "to watch list " with you :)

Music depends on the mood. I enjoy rock and metal . Linkin park , AC/DC are my go to bands . But at the same time you can find me listening to some soft Indian music from A.R Rahman or my own language too when I'm in need of some nostalgia :D

I used to read a lot of classics and mythologies when I was a kid including Charles dickens , the whole of Greek and Roman mythologies , Mark twain. Now the favourites I've read are Kite runner, Sapiens and 100 years of solitude . During my travels I always carry one or two books of my own language ( Malayalam) .

I would love to learn about various cultures within and outside Europe . Right now I'm learning Czech language since I plan to live here for the near future . I'm excited about learning new recipes and I can happily share with you the ones I know as well .

What I Can Share with Hosts

Having lived in India & Czechia, I would love to share with you my stories , the cultural differences I came across , traditions. If you're interested, I wouldn't mind cooking a small Kerala meal and give you a little taste of where I come from (of-course I won't try to kill you by making it too hot 😄) . As a guest , I'm respectful of personal space , clean and independent . I'm also happy to help with small tasks if needed
