ABOUT ME

I'm a registered nurse & a veteran.
I travelled aggressively for about 10 years, then settled down and focused on my career for the last dozen or so. I’m currently traveling for work and looking to explore more of the country while in my current position.

PHILOSOPHY

Leave everything a little bit better than you found it. Learn to love with “better than it was” and live life as fully as possible.

I hosted in Lincoln, Nebraska, and haven’t used the site in about a dozen years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All positive... everyone is wonderful. I love the concept.

Interests

Reading, painting, woodwork. Listening and dancing to music. I like playing sports, more so than watching them. Camping, hiking, biking. I want to learn leatherwork eventually. I like to be outside; would like to learn how to quilt and do stained-glass some cold winter when I'm snowed in by my fire.

10 years later I’m trying to get back to the simplicities above.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love country music and classic rock.

I love historically accurate fictional war novels. Love and War, War and Peace. War and Rememberance, The Winds of War...
Lonesome Dove and To Kill a Mockingbird are also favorites. (I guess anything with "War" or a bird in the title)

Favorite movies include A League of Their Own, Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Cool Hand Luke, all Disney, Neverending Stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ahhh... These things we talk about face to face! The list grows by the day...

A good one, though... I went to Mass in Rome presided over by the Pope; given in Latin. A bird flew out of the heavens and pooped on my shoulder at some point... it might have been a sign.
