ABOUT ME

I am usually pretty outgoing. I love doing spontaneous things. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new things, and going new places. I love anything artistic whether it be painting, graffiti, decorating food, styling hair, doing makeup, building furniture, or designing tattoos.

I am the type of person who dances in the rain, sings into a hairbrush, draws sad faces on eggs, laughs at my own jokes, sends texts way over 140 characters, cries when I laugh, laugh when I cry, bake a cake because facebook says its your birthday and because it means I can lick the bowl. I am the type of person who drinks koolaid jammers to feel like a kid, climbs a tree to feel like a bird, smiles because the sky is extra blue, and swim even when the water is cold.
I'm I only speak English and a bit of Italian, but I'm fluent in goofyness, sarcasm, laughing, and drinking. I'm really easy-going and enjoy everything from, sitting down with a glass of wine to crowd surfing. I aspire to be friend to everyone I meet.

One more thing! If I am surfing on your couch, and super respectful of your time and belongings. I don't think couch surfing was intended to be a free hotel. If I'm surfing with you, I'd like to hang out and share stories and explore your city from your eyes! Locals always have such an insight about their city that you just can't find in a hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have alittle experience both surfing and hosting and just meeting people. I have yet to be disappointed with couch surfing :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fired Up, anything Will Smith and basically any film that covers multiple genres.

My musical taste varies quite a bit. Some of my favorite artists include Sia, M83, Day to Remember, Issues, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, the Fray, Foo Fighters, Bon Iver, MGMT, Bravery, Offspring, the 1975, New Politics, Arctic Monkeys, Mutemath, Paramore, John Mayer, Colbie Calhiat, Gavin Degraw, OneRepublic, Kings of Leon, Killers, and oh so much more.

Favorite types of books are typically dystopian or medival fiction. Some of my favorite authors include Thomas Williams, Suzanne Collins, J.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Determined to see what life outside of midwest was like, I sold everything I owned took my first flight alone on a one ticket to Italy. Had such a great time, that some new friends convinced me to move to Australia with $200 in my pocket. Had a blast there as well, and look forward to travelling again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn a new language. Im working on Spanish and Italian. Piano would also be amazing to learn. As far as things I can teach, I am pretty good at art so if any of you never progressed past stick figures I would be happy to help you out. I love rock climbing and was a certified climbing facilitator, so I would be happy to belay and/or give afew tips. And sharing? Music! Music is the closest thing I have found to love. Finding a new song, or being able to harmonize with another voice, or jamming together in someone's living room, there is not much more that makes me happier.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I unfortunately, don't have alot of money. However, I try to be as generous as I can manage. I buy you a beer, make you dinner, or help with any projects you need a 2nd set of hands with. I am a firm believer that couchsurfing wasn't founded in the hopes that hosts will recieve presents or payment. I see it more as a "paying it forward" and "golden rule" enterprise. You host me, I host you, I host someone else, someone else hosts you. Use couchsurfing right, be a decent human being, and everybody wins.
