About Me

Hello! My name is Roshan, and I come from a small village near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. I’m passionate about sharing the beauty and culture of my hometown with travelers from around the world. As a local guide, I love showing people the hidden gems of India – whether it’s the golden deserts of Rajasthan, the ancient forts, or the rich local traditions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting people from different parts of the world and sharing real cultural experiences. Growing up in a small village near Jaisalmer, I learned the value of hospitality and openness. Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I enjoy traditional Rajasthani folk music, especially the sounds of the khartal, sarangi, and desert songs around the campfire. I also like listening to soft Hindi music and simple relaxing tunes while traveling or guiding tours.

Movies:
I like Indian movies that show culture, travel, and real life in villages. I also enjoy adventure and historical films. Sometimes I watch documentaries about different places because I love learning about the world.

Books:
Most of my reading is about travel, culture, and history. I enjoy books that teach me new things about India or other countries. I also like simple motivational books and stories based on true experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done was guiding a group of travelers deep into the Thar Desert for an overnight camp under the stars. There was no light, no noise—just silence, sand dunes, and the sky. I cooked traditional Rajasthani food on the fire, shared stories about desert life, and we watched the Milky Way all nigh
