Annette: I am a freelance consultant in global health and governance, mostly working from home or from one of Pakistan/Nigeria/South Sudan/Tunisia. I try to fit in holidays in interesting places around my work travel destinations. Roshan is very patient when I try and tell him things about medicine even though he's the doctor! I would also say he is one of the kindest, friendliest people I know and that he has bad taste in snacks.

Roshan: I am a doctor working in various emergency care specialities and education. I love meeting new people and discovering interesting places. Contrary to what Annette thinks, I have great taste in snacks. She is the most engaging, good-hearted, and positive person I know. She also has the confidence to explain all medical matters to me - even though her knowledge in this area is questionable.

Interessen

Annette: the first thing I think about when I wake up is 'what am I going to eat for breakfast?' and then when I'm eating my breakfast, I think about what I will eat for lunch. My first and last love in life is new and exciting food. I build all my other interests around this. I am lucky to have a job that is also a personal passion and the rest of the time I'm either at a protest or watching netflix.

Roshan: i spend far too much time arguing with people on twitter, but when i stop myself, i sometimes find time to do some martial arts/yoga/climbing. The absolute best thing is to share some food and drink with friends and have a good conversation.

I can teach you Dutch
I can bore you with the intricacies of UK and US politics

Roshan:
I can teach you the basics of climbing technique
I can teach you many things about health - how to save a life, how to deal with a traumatic head injury, how to give an anaesthetic... that sort of thing.
