Overview
About Me
I'm just beginning what I hope will be the trip of a lifetime in the US. I'm an English literature student and can't wait to see all the places I've read so much about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems to be the ideal way to explore new places because of its inherent local knowledge. It's also always lovely to meet generous, like-minded people, especially in unfamiliar places!
Interests
In the sunshine, I'll have a go at almost anything; I love finding out about people's passions. Things I've managed to stick with include ramshackle attempts at healthy cooking, hula hooping and going to gigs. I like wandering around cities especially if I can stop for a cup of tea somewhere. Ultimately though I'm a big literature nerd so I love reading (and then making ridiculous leaps to broader cultural analysis!) and I'm a lifelong feminist.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical tastes are too eclectic to summarise but I'm listening to Dub Pistols at this exact moment. I love Broad City on telly and reading Edna O'Brien and Kerouac. In fact, I love reading any Irish, Welsh or American fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I feel incredibly lucky to be devoid of enough responsibilities to be able to travel - it's amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
Without doubt, the most important thing I've ever heard is Alice Walker's statement that 'The most common way people give up power is by thinking they don't have any'.
What I Can Share with Hosts
