ABOUT ME

I am spunky and sarcastic and a pretty epic nerd. Despite my sense of humour I am actually a pretty caring person, I really hope that I can impact the world based on the way I can impact those around me. I am a pretty equal mix of wacky and pensive. I love a good antic but also really value a good conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

That we are all fatally flawed creatures and that cynicism is logically. However, there is a beauty in our flawed nature and in the fact that despite our flaws there our moments of such perfect goodness and joyfulness that makes optimism easy.

I love having people to host! We've had a lot of fun this past summer, and are looking forward to all sorts of wacky fun in the fall and winter!

Interests

Music, all sorts of it! Right now I am totally all about celtic punk, but I'll listen to just about anything that isn't toally vapid (and sometimes even if it is) I love movies, especially old sci-fi and horror, fantasy, action, drama and sometimes ridiculous comedy. I am a pretty avid reader. Art! I love comic books and graphic novels and really love drawing and painting. Nature, hiking, camping. History and folklore. Good debate. Veganism. Knitting. Dancing like an idiot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped build a Habitat for Humanity house in Mexico. Having the family explain what that house represented was so very powerful that when I think about it I still tear up a little.

That and seeing whales while taking the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria.
