About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To tune in, connect and play

ABOUT ME

Live for fiestas, street games, haiku writing, tai chi, mountains, deserts, swimming in the sea, land art, circus, long land walks, mass marches.

Have travelled a bit, some places journeying through, other places living a while WOOFING (working on organic farms), or living in specific intentional communities. Includes India, Jordan, Italy, France, Spain, US (California, Hawaii, New York) Germany, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Australia, Denmark, Morocco, Israel, Chilie, Bolivia, Brazil...

I now live in the wild Welsh Valley of the Dyfi in an old farm in the Snowdonia National park with a community of eight others, chickens, bees and many wandering guests....

PHILOSOPHY

Interbeing

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for adventure with like minded people in the UK and Europe. My housemate already offers hosting for our house on her profile, so I am looking for kind hosts on my travels, rather than offering a couch myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had some great experiences in Israel and Chile to date, either meeting up or staying with lovely hosts. I have not formally hosted through couchsurfing, but my current large shared home always has a guest staying - its an open and generous house.

Music, Movies, and Books

How do you narrow it down?

Music - I love anything live in particular punk, gypsy, blues, jazz, rock, afro and FUNK. Basically anything I can swing, pogo, bounce, samba or waltz to.

Film - all things arthouse inc features, docs, shorts and animation, recently really enjoyed Persepolis, La Vie En Rose, The Butterfly and the Diving Bell and Man On Wire..but also love a really good blockbuster..the new batman is ace.

Books - I'll read virtually anything. Avidly read all newspapers within reach but no fan of womens mags. Recent books include the bookseller of kabul and eat, pray, love.

Art - at my happiest surrounded by and making art from origami flowers to large scale sand sculptures...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Grew up as part of a womens peace camp in the UK at Greenham Common, now one of the most famous anti nuclear weapons protests in the UK.

Teach, Learn, Share

My knowledge of UK, especially Wales and London, especially cultural - arts, film, centres and landscape - areas to walk, camp, adventure in.
Knowledge of other countries I have visited, in particular the 'WOOFING' experience (working on organic farms)
I study Tai Chi Chuan - can teach a form or two!
Modern art - especially land art
