CURRENT MISSION

I live in Germany and will be visiting Korea from September 10-26 and looking for people to meet up and explore with! I used to live in Busan but left 4 years ago and am looking forward to returning for a visit!

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the States but have been living abroad for 7 years. Like most people on here, I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people! I partied enough during uni and my first few years abroad and now I much prefer meals with good friends and relaxing or interesting activities. I am a native English speaker from the US, I also speak intermediate Spanish and high beginner German. I can read Hangeul and am working on speaking!

I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with locals and other travellers when I go to new places!

Interests

I'm pretty active and love activities that get me out and about exploring wherever I am.

My biggest passions are cooking (I'm gluten-intolerant which can make travel frustrating...fresh ingredients, and delicious meat, veggies, and fruit!), reading, and exercising (lifting weights). If I'm in a city with a big open market I love exploring, trying local ingredients I've never used, and cooking up something new!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's a fair few things to pick from but one of the most memorable things I have done was a trip with Tao Philippines to some of the most remote islands in Palawan. The people, the land, the food...everything was absolutely incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Swapping stories and experiences with others is one of the best ways to learn. I appreciate all kinds of advice from others and am happy to share any advice I have as well.
I love learning more about other cultures and am particularly interested in language, cooking, and dancing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're able to host me I can offer heaps of random stories, an ear to listen to your random stories, a hand in the kitchen (I love cooking with others!), a flexible and adaptable attitude, laughter, and friendship.
