About Me

ABOUT ME

Creative, positive and easy to get along with.
Love to travel and meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't complain, just try and see the positive things in life and never stop laughing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Was introduced to CS by my friend, Tessa, who has quite a lot of positive experiences with CS. Love the idea that you can really get to know more about a country by staying with locals and on the other hand you get a chance to show travellers around in your own city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at the moment

Interests

Love to swim (synchronized swimming actually, don't judge it really isn't that silly :)), coaching synchronized swimmers, skiing (as long as I don't crash again), laughing, hanging out with friends and family (in a pub, on a terrace, on the beach or just at home on the coach), watching a movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always listen to music, be it jazz, pop, rock or classical music. What kind of music depends on my mood.

I watch a lot movies. Ones that I really love are; le fabuleux destin d'amelie and donnie darko

I love too read, but sometimes I'm a bit too busy and restless to pick up a book. So often the weekends and vacations are my time to read. Some of the books I loved to read (often more than once) are: to kill a mocking bird, harry potter, lord of the rings, komt een vrouw bij de dokter (a dutch one).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Out of the jungle in a Gibbon reservation in Laos taking of on a zip line, suddenly speeding over a beautiful valley and within seconds I'm standing in a tree house about 150 metres above the ground. Terrifying, thrilling... amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a coach I love to teach my swimmers, be it synchronized swimming or respecting each other. At the same time my girls (swimmers) teach me things too, like not being prejudiced. I feel that this applies to all the people I meet. That's why I hope I can help people respect one another and I try to learn something from almost anyone I meet.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United States
