Friend in Istanbul let me know about couchsurfıng, so am just gettıng started! Have been interested for a while but never got around to signing up.

Interests

Most all countries ın the world interest me. Love the sea, am interested in learning about traditional foods, musics, and generally getting under the skin a bit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of 70s reggae and soul, alongside jazz, were my staple diet when I was little. Also a big blues fan, as well as Malian and Senegalese music. Also - Mulatu Astatke! Electronic and classical in there somewhere too amongst other stuff.

For books I'm quite omnivorous.... but Herman Melville is the guy. Starting Rabelais currently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled the Khardung La (to 5,640m). Fast becoming a mountain lover and hope to climb one as soon as I get a chance.
