Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had some great experiences using hotels and hostels; but I believe that there can now be a more organic aspect to travelling.
I think that the approach CS sets out is a great way to not only make new friends, but to find out more about the places you visit and experience them first hand.

Interests

I like exercise and keeping fit- as well as going to the gym, I also go running a few times a week and I am running a mini- marathon in Edinburgh in April.

I am a football fan (Middlesbrough FC is my team, in case you were wondering)

I am also interested in the arts, history, walking, travelling, and I am a keen cook.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: it varies; I am a fan of many different genres,- R&B, pop, dancehall, classical, house, techno, indie rock. Some of my favourite artists include The Smiths, Burial, and Kanye West

Movies: big fan of indie and world cinema as well as US blockbusters- favourite directors include Bergman, Kubrick, Wong, Wenders, Lynch, and Von Trier

Books: non fiction on any subject i'm interested in - football, art, architecture, history, music, film, etc. favourite fictional authors include mishima, hemingway, etc
