For a few years I have been working as an expert at the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. However, my previous jobs in the non-governmental sector involved primarily work in international teams under joint projects, a lot of international travel and intercultural exchange. I liked it very much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

And I really miss the above mentioned intercultural communication - meeting new people, visiting new places, getting to know different cultures. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to do in my leisure time what I was doing before as a part of my work.

Interests

Apart from the above I read a lot of books (on paper) and collect them. I like going to cultural events - concerts, theater, etc. - in Bulgaria and abroad. Also, as a historian I know quite well my country and its historic sites and I am always ready to introduce a foreign guest to the historical and cultural treasury on the territory of contemporary Bulgaria - home of the oldest civilization in Europe and crossing point of different cultures and religions in ancient times, in the middle ages and at present.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like both jazz and rock; I go to classic jazz concerts as well as to rock fests.
I am avid reader and lover of the good literature, so I closely follow the developments in the contemporary fiction worldwide. It does not prevent me from enjoying the fantasy series - I love some of the
