ABOUT ME

I am someone who believes it is an injustice to live life without at least trying to experience the joys of traveling the world, meeting different people, getting to know different cultures, sampling different food.

I have traveled to England, Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, UAE, Sri Lanka and various parts of my homeland India , and I would love to make new friends while soaking in the beauty the world has to offer.

I am a big sports fan- from football to cricket to basketball. I am also a big foodie, and keep exploring new places to eat. Love seafood in particular and am a staunch non-vegetarian, which I guess is contrary to the widely held notions about Indians :)

PHILOSOPHY

While growing up, there has been one constant aim in my mind. I have seen only a tiny tiny tiny portion of the world and have grown up with people of only a certain kind. I'd like to experience as many different places, cultures, food and people the world has to offer as possible.

I want to stay with people who are natives of the place I visit,
people who have grown up there and love their homeland passionately, true sons of the soil.

I would also love to host anyone who thinks like I do and wants a place near New Delhi, India.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Tonnes of movies from Hollywood and Bollywood. Some of them are Gladiator, Braveheart, most Di Caprio movies, most Tarantino and Scorcese movies, The Prestige, Pulp Fiction and Fight Club.

I'm not into music so much, but mostly Indian and a bit of western pop/rock. Like American country music as well during journeys.

My wife and I are certified advanced level SCUBA divers. So that probably qualifies?

We swam with the sharks in the Perhentian islands in Malaysia during the day, and returned to the mainland during a heavy thunderstorm when it was pitch dark, with a 15-year old steering our little boat. Would never do that again though!

I believe that if someone opens up his home to you, it is only fair that I make a genuine effort to get to know him/her and share my life experiences (it's not a hotel or hostel after all!). It is only fair that I share the costs of food etc. with the host.
