About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Stop SHELL OIL from putting a pipline in our estuary

ABOUT ME

Rossport Solidarity Camp was set up 7 years ago in solidarity with the local community, who bravely took on the giant Shell to stop them from building a highly dangerous high pressure gas pipeline past their homes.Although only a small rural community in the west of ireland despite all odds - 11 years on and the pipeline still hasn't been built!

The Rossport Solidarity Camp at Aughoose and Solidarity House at Poll an tSómais - both across the estuary from Rossport - is open for visitors to learn about the campaign and help work with the local community against Shell's Corrib Gas Project. We are always balancing campaign work with maintenance of the camp, house, office, vehicles and organic veg gardens. As well as regular direct Action If you are interested helping in any of the above send us a couch request and we'll get back to you asap!

if you want to learn more about the campaign or what the camp's like visit http://www.rossportsolidaritycamp.org/
