Hi I'm Rowan, I'm a 19 year old traveller from New Zealand. I'm currently backpacking around Europe where I hope to meet new people, make new friends, and experience new places and cultures. When I go back home I'm going to start a chef's apprenticeship.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm joining couch surfing because I love to travel and meet new people around the world, and I think the best way to experience a new place and/or a new culture, is to meet (and hopefully become friends with) the people who live there. And of course I'm hoping to use couch surfing as a way to save some money during my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have been playing guitar for 7 years, as well as a little bit of ukelele. I love to play blues guitar and improvise a lot when I play. I listen to a wide variety of music. Some of my favourite movies include: Into The Wild, Once, and Inception.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently completed the Hillary Trail hike which spans 80km and takes 4 days to walk up the west coast of NZs North Island. It was the first hike I have done alone and it was completely unforgettable.

I love to cook delicious food and would be happy to share some good food and good times with the people I meet.
