The unfortunate thing about being tall is it's tricky to find trousers that fit properly and a kayak that I actually fit in....on the other hand its pretty handy in a crowd. Not that I like crowds too much- cities are great for a few days, but I'm a country girl at heart really!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just joined the CS project, and I'm hoping to travel and meet lots of people in Canada this summer. I'm unable to host anyone at the moment, but look forward to it when I'm back in the UK!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A year or two ago I went to Italy with some friends, we stayed with couch surfers in Florence and Rome and had the best time ever! That was my first experience couch surfing, it was awesome not just to be a tourist, meet and spend time with people living there and learn so much more about the places we were visiting.

兴趣

The great outdoors, especially if it involves mountains and/or rivers! On the other hand, I also love to read, talk, listen, sing, swing dance, go to the theatre, museums etc. Many interests really....

Just got back from a weekend in Montreal and the International Jazz festival :D with some great bands!

Films- as long as it's not a horror film I'm happy! favourites include Pride and prejudice (the old BBC version), The Pianist, The Princess Bride, LOTR, Bridget Jones, Amelie, North by Northwest, Casablanca....

I love to read and am incredibly thankful for the existance of public libraries :)

Breakfast in the sunshine on the verandah of a mountain hut high up in the french alps, looking over to Mont Blanc / ice climbing on the Mer de Glace / wild camping in Scotland / Kayaking on the mighty Ottawa river
