I was born to a humble, religious, Spanish speaking multicultural family in Northern California. From them I learned valuable life lessons and a sense of direction and purpose in life. I felt safe, confident, secure in the tiny, cozy cubbyhole I was to inhabit for the rest of my preplanned life in my tiny world. I was content.
March 2012, I moved to NYC, and that all changed. So much to see, so many different people to meet, foods to eat, joys to be shared! I was happy.
June 2013, I stumbled onto CouchSurfing. So many cultures to experience, ideas to share, points of view to empathize with! I was excited.
Oct 2015, I started traveling. So many places to go, wonders to behold, barriers to be broken, stamps to collect. I am now hungry.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to give, and take, and share, life experiences with others while we are still able. CS offers up a unique experience to meet people in the process of shedding their protective layers and looking for their true selves by traveling and being open to new experiences and points of view.
Running, hiking, psychology, macroeconomics, personal health, tequila. Those last two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive!
Music, Movies, and Books
Blade Runner, Midnight in Paris, and everything in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time. It truly took my breath away... i actually forgot to breathe for a few seconds after peering over the rim. I seek to recreate that same feeling. Weekly, if possible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy listening to opinions different than mine. Different doesn't make them wrong. You can't learn anything new if you don't have new info to work with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you the basics of programming, maybe how to cook some of my favorite Mexican food.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Canada, China, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Thailand
