About Me

I'm a work from home hospitality sales professional who loves to travel. My wonderful wife and I live in beautiful Bend, Oregon which is a nature lover's dream with skiing, hiking, camping, cycling, and a host of other fun just minutes from our front door. Bend is well known its more than 23 craft beer breweries, distilleries, and vineyards. We also have a vibrant art and music community with a lot of free events to enjoy year round.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to travel and meet new people. We also have a limited budget so, Coushsurfing is the perfect solution!

Interests

My wife and I love to hike, camp, tour on our Harley motorcycle (Rita), go to live music events and travel.

I'm also an artist and love to serve the community so I founded a local non-profit called CRAFT Bend to make reclaimed art materials and affordable art education available in my community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music including trance, electronica, prog rock, alternative, classical, jazz, blues and more.

I'm a documentary addict and love indie movies, however, I just saw Wonder Woman and was blown away by the positive message it portrayed for girls. I'm also a closet Trekkie.

I'm a voracious reader and read more non-fiction than fiction but I do love historical and suspense novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught local 3rd and 4th-grade kids about environmental sustainability through a collaborative creative reuse art project which was exhibited for the community on Earth Day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to show you my art studio, teach you about encaustic art, share a mixed media art project with you, give you the inside scoop on the best hiking, camping, and hotspots for food and entertainment, or teach you how to ballroom dance. I also read Tarot and can do a spread for you.
