I am originally from Tacoma, WA, USA which is a blue collar, working class town in the Pacific Northwest. I attended public school until college where I went to Seattle Pacific University and obtained a degree in nutrition/dietetics with a minor in sociology. For the past 3 years I've worked in multiple capacities for an eating disorders clinic.

I have an opportunity to travel the world and I'd like to do so more cheaply and intimately!

Interests

I am a huge sci-fi nerd (but am way out nerd-ed by my boyfriend and travel partner Sam). I enjoy french press coffee, poetry, listening to world music on vinyl, doing yoga in my living room, and stressing about what to study for grad school. When I can, I like to get out doors and walk in the neighborhood or in the wilderness.

Right now I'm finishing Dune and I just watched Le Saveurs du Palais. The last record I listened to was George Hamilton's Winter to Spring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I worked for a summer on a marine biology field station in the San Juans.

The summer of 2015 I backpacked across Western Europe.

I was the first in my immediate family to earn a bachelor's degree.
