I am a high school Spanish teacher near Seattle and have taken a two-year sabbatical to travel and see as much as the world as I can, on my Triumph Tiger motorcycle.

I have always enjoyed traveling, experiencing different cultures and meeting people. I like to learn languages, or at least try, and am trying to learn to read the Russian and Ukrainian alphabet at the moment. Not so easy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, it is a unique way to meet people and to better get to know the country I am visiting. It is a connection that I cannot get at a hotel or hostel. Also, as I am traveling for two years, so I need to stay within a very tight budget!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a variety of music, pop mostly and mellow acoustical music in the mornings; more lively music later in the day. I am not a heavy metal fan, but can listen to rock music for a little while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This trip around the world on my motorcycle. So far, I have traveled 10,000 kilometers from London to Nordkapp, Norway to Russia and the Ukraine. Now on to your country :)
