Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After 20 years living in the busy south of bali I very much enjoy the quietness of Tulamben with superb snorkeling and diving right in front of our doorstep.
socializing is limited here so me and my wife always enjoy visitors especially in our age group.

Interests

I enjoy meeting and being with people from all walks of life. Learning their culture , sharing experiences, making new acquaintances with similar interests and age group.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite places I have visited are the Banda islands in the Indonesian regency of Maluku.
This group of small islands had in the 17. Century a great economic importance because of the value of nutmeg.
Run, the smallest in the group was in the “Treaty of Breda” 1667 traded against Manhattan island and caused the renaming of the city from New Amsterdam to New York.
