I come from USA but have lived in England for most of my life... still have the american acccent though! I'm a cultural nomad, third culture kid who enjoys being in the company of all nationalities and cultures.

Recently moved back here to Kuala Lumpur, and love living here and sharing this amazing country (and it's delicious food!) with others.

What I enjoy most about couchsurfing is having people around my house, and getting to learn about new and interesting things that I might not have otherwise. I like the idea of having a spanish language speaker stay so I can practice my spanish, or having a fitness guru help me get my fitness on track! Do you know how to code? I would love to have someone spend a little time with me helping me write some simple software. Or maybe you have a skill or practice that I have never even heard about?

Have met up with and partied with some other cool CS'ers in Kuala Lumpur, Bogotá and Bangkok, and have hosted some CS'ers.

Interests

Music, Diving, Guitar, Spanish Language, Surfing, Snowboarding, Chilli Plants. I love DIY and conisder myself a 'maker' at heart, and love going to maker labs.

Dirty Blues, Electronic music, Punk, Any movies with zombies. I also get heavily addicted to video games from time to time. Dwarf Fortress is the greatest video game ever made.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched as Leatherback Turtles layed eggs on the beach in Trinidad, almost got bitten by a snake in Kurdistan, climbed a holy mountain in China, went river rafting in Colombia, caught and ate piranhas in the Amazon, and caught a grouper in Costa Rica, went diving in Sipadan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to burn a casserole, or play Dwarf Fortress. I have extensive experience in geology, the oil and gas industry and it's software, the QGIS software suite. I'm a music geek and am also certified in Logic Pro X. I'm a crypto-currency enthusiast.
