ABOUT ME

We are a young married couple, 33 and 30. Off on our big around the world trip. We've both left our jobs and are looking forward to our adventure. We plan to visit Asia, Africa (we plan to help build an orphanage in Uganda and visit our sponsor child), then Europe, USA and back to Australia. Stu is a mad keen fisherman and has a little boat which he loves to take out on Sydney Harbour. Bec loves catching up with friends over a good meal. We both have outgoing personalities and love people.

PHILOSOPHY

We love life and enjoy it. When a negative thing happens we always look for the positive in it, cause if you look hard enough there always will be one, even if it is not immediately obvious.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love this way to travel and to meet people and share life and culture. We love to meet new people and experience their city and country the way they do. This is so much more exciting than hoping on a tour bus and just seeing the sites. We look forward to hosting people when we return to Australia also. We have also donated so,e ,oney to keep it running as we think it is a great idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We meet up with Ling in Singapore for dinner! We Couchsurfed with Angela and Katharina in Vienna, Juergen in Linz and Virginia in Salzburg. Ana in Ramsgate, Zoe in Paris, Carole in Angers, Guillame and Helene in Bordeaux, Bruno and Berenice in Marseilles, Erica in Sarzana, Lorenzo in Pistoia, Marco and Paola in Rome, Lucia near Venice, Krisztina in Budapest, Martin and Jana in Prague, Frank in Berlin, Anneke and Raymond in Amsterdam.

兴趣

Spending time with friends, fishing (Stu), wakeboarding, boating, diving, beach volleyball (Stu), movies, TV, games (board games, Wii, card games), photography, scuba diving, game shows (Bec - that is, going on them, not watching them)and of course TRAVELLING!

Stu - loves all types of music, doesn't read much but loves movies and TV especially SciFi (which Bec doesn't like at all), the Simpsons and Futurama.
Bec - loves jazz (especially live), The Shawshank Redemption, Patch Adams and Amelie are some of her favourite movies.

* Went to Mexico to build a house for a poor family. Ironically the poor family we built for were so generous. They wanted to do everything for us. I think we got just as much out of it as we gave.
* Diving in Thailand - the marine life was so cool.
* Working in an orphanage in Uganda
