CURRENT MISSION

I just moved back to Philadelphia after an educational tour on an upside down school bus that ran off of veggie oil----and I need a place to stay until my apartment opens up June 23rd! I have a job, I just need a place to stay in the city while I work.

ABOUT ME

oy! I'm Rachel. I'm 24. I went to school for Film and Media studies and I've put it to good use. I made a movie while living on an educational bus tour. I am a freelance photojournalist and a farmer market manager/worker. I love dogs and I love being barefoot. I love walking around the city without shoes. I have lived in Philadelphia for six years but I've been gone for a while. Now that I have returned I am in need for temporary housing while I work and await that room for 1.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't wait until I finally have a place of my own where I can host a couchsurfer. So many people across the country have taken me in and I am grateful for them. I am moving into my own room (first in over a year!) on June 23rd, but until then I can give the CS community a responsible, trustworthy gal who loves to talk just about anything!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done a number of informal couch surfings this past year. While living on the bus, we were invited to stay in many people's homes. I am a clean and respectful couch surfer and I try to give people the space they need. I am also totally open to being as much a part of the house as one would want. Oh also, I tend to go to bed before midnight...but that's not a strict schedule.

Interests

Yoga. I practice everyday. Organics and farming, I eat everyday! I love to bike, read...I'm a pretty quite girl but one with a lot of energy! I love spending time outside.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ridden through Joshua State Park on top of our bus and Muir Woods. While in Muir Woods we saw someone run off a cliff and float through the sky on their hang glider.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to pickle, play the saxophone and teach some yoga. I also love to look at photography and I could give you a lesson! Or take some fun photos.
