Employment History:
--2007- Present-- Sales Consultant- EW Metal Works- Windsor- Canada
As a sales representitive I have designed a sales package, promoted business activity, and improved customer satisfaction.
-- 2006- 2007-- English Teacher – NOVA Group- Fukouka and Osaka- Japan
As an English teacher I am responsible for lesson preparation, administering lessons to both children and adults and assessing student progress, for the largest English school in Japan. I have gained valuable experience in TOEFL, TOEIC, business English, conversational English and an array of children’s programs offered by the school
--2006-- Marking Assistant- Carleton Department of Law
My duties included meeting with the instructor, reading, editing and marking student’s assignments for a 3000 level Labour Law course taught by respected legal scholar Michael MacNeil. I was able to gain teaching experience in this role and developed several useful skills.
--2005-- Legal Intern- Langevin & Morris LLP
My duties included filing, client services, banking, case preparation and many other regular office activities. Lewis Langevin is a leading Ottawa law firm with a reputation for legal excellence and superior customer service. For more than twenty-five years, the firm has been advising clients in areas of business law, wills & estates, real estate, civil litigation, family law, labour law and criminal law.
--2004-2005-- Production Staff- Worthington Cylinders
I produced, tested and inspected metal cylinders in a factory environment.
--2003--Author and Project Manager - Blenheim Rotary Club
Research, writing and layout of a history book for the Blenheim Rotary Club. Duties included interviewing members and their families, library research using newspaper archives and compiling a comprehensive 75 year historical account of the club.
--2003-- Radio Production Intern- 77WABC Radio in New York, New York
I completed a summer internship placement with the Curtis and Kuby-in-the- morning talk radio program for ABC radio. Various duties associated with production of a radio program including; receiving phone calls, editing sample productions, editing music and taping and editing comedy parodies for on-air production.
--2002- 2003-- Editorial Intern- Sports Editor and Photographer- The Resin
Responsibilities include writing and editing sports articles, photography and production of a Carleton University campus newspaper with a bi-monthly circulation of 2,500. --
2000-2002-- News Reporter and Photographer- The Voice of the Farmer
Responsibilities include locating story ideas, interviewing, researching, customer service, and writing articles for a major farm newspaper with a bi-monthly circulation of 33,000.
--2000-2002-- News Reporter and Photographer- North Kent Leader Various duties associated with reporting news in Dresden and surrounding areas including; interviewing sources, composing articles, research, photography, customer service, sales and type setting, weekly circulation 2,000.

I just discovered this site. I have heard many good things- but just jumped on the band wagon.
Hoping to meet some good people, surf a few couches and have a few surfers stop by for a few nights and a coffee in the mornings..

Favorite Books: Just Read- Epstein's Snobbery in America and Canada Among Nations 2004 (edited by Hilmer)- In Cold Blood, Capote's flagship novel, "a must read for all self respecting readers or would be writers."
Freidman's The World is Flat... stunning.
Freakanomics was tantalizing, Levitt is on the same wave length as I am.
Gladwell's Tipping Point was thought provoking.
Dyer's thick Red diddy about War was well done.
And last but not least my signed copy of Bloom's Shakespeare, the Invention of the Human.

Flying Trans Pacific on a whim was pretty cool.
Smoking fat Trinidad Cigars under the Eifel Tower
Partying internationally New York-Paris-Moscow and Tokyo.
Spending 44,000 yen in Bangkok on a Wednesday night.
Sleeping in a Ger hut in Mongolia, and riding horses through the mountian.
Taking a big ride on the Trans-Siberian railroad. Beijing to Moscow- 07.
European Saunas in Lithuania, jumping into ice cold lakes.

It is all about the sound. When you think about it, Every encounter sounds like something. That is to say that life's experiences all have a unique sound.
When a dress shoe falls in stride to a tiled sidewalk it makes a soothing sound. When her high heels click along beside me, the sound is even more delightful.
Writing, whether it be in a blog or on a page in my journal has a sound. The slashing of the pen or the clicking of the keys, makes me want to continue.
When a phone sits pearched on a wooden table and is on vibrate mode, that sound wakes me. When I open the window on the eleventh floor the traffic and the sounds of another day in Japan snap me and make me want to go and join the world.
Last night it was the sound of broken glass amid a drunk filled marathon that will stay with me. As her body moved beside me on some dingy dancefloor, it was the music and the slight sound of my hand running down her back that I recall this afternoon, as the keys are clicking. Nothing more.
Its the way she says Thank-you that I enjoy most, she can't pronounce the Thick Th sound at the beginning and it sounds more like Sank-you That has fast become one of my favourite sounds.
As my lighter sets a blaze another stick, it is the ptt sound that entices me to spark it.
Voices, nothing more than sounds, what does mine sound like? I remember your voice. But in words I could never descreibe a voice sure we have our phrases, sounds husky, overtly manly, wonderfully feminine. Those are just widely applied descriptions, your charm comes from the intracate meloncally and hushed tones and pitchs.
You gasp and grab for air when you are suprised, those are sounds only made in certian situations. You moan with delight as I slide my hand and mouth about you. Of couse they are feelings as well as sounds, but understanding the sounds and reading them is most important. As her lips fall to mine the sounds stop, I am sorry but when that happens I just can't listen anymore.
