We are a retired couple who are both healthy and active. We live in a small community of 5,000 people situated in northern British Columbia. Our valley has numerous lakes, rivers, and streams and sits at the base of an alpine (downhill) ski complex. In the summer, we camp, hike, fish, and paddle kayaks or canoes; in the winter, we nordic (cross country) ski, snowshoe, and paddle out to our remote cabin.

Although our community does not have public transit, all locations within our town are very close; for instance, we are within 15 minutes walking distance from the main street and shops in Smithers. The town is serviced by an airport, located 4 kilometres west of town, and if we are available, we can provide transportation for our guest(s) from the airport to our home.
