ABOUT ME

I am a 26 yr old sailor and i am working on living. I am relaxed and easy going with a strong affection to the great outdoors.
Im in the navy so I work a lot amd get to teavel abroad. I only live on the ship, but when I have the night off im looking for places to go with people I dont know yet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined a while ago after sharing a positive experience with a close friend and some surfers. While I was hosting I participated in some community events such as pot luck dinners. Of the dozen of events and hosting experiences I have participated in I grow more excited about this community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences have been great so far. I really enjoy the opportunity to share the gems of Detroit with new people, and learn about their travels. I initially learned of CS by some surfers that I met while on a bike ride (critical mass) in Chicago and enjoyed what they had to say about their experiences. I am now in the Navy and moving around the country a lot more with no permanent residence. I have time on the weekends to explore the cities I am near, and that is what I aim to do.

Mesa Verde, Colorado. (ancient ruins of the the Anasazi) Very inspired by urban deveolpement and sustainable practices through out history.
Personal involvement in current society is very important to me and any inspiring ways to get "involved" is what I am all about.
