About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I plan to learn many languages and visit the countries where they are spoken!

ABOUT ME

I love learning languages, eating good food, playing video games and just relaxing and having a good conversation with friends. I also enjoy the occasional hiking excursion as well as snorkeling. I plan to pick up scuba diving soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love road trips! Most of the time when I drive cross country, I manage to go most of the way without having to stay at a hotel. I have friends all over the western half of the US and just stay with them along the way. I personally haven't had people stay with me much. Mostly that is due to the fact that I was living in dorms on base for a long time and wasn't allowed to have guests stay overnight.

Interests

Video games, nature, reading, the ocean, food (all varieties), studying pretty much anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

LOTR, the Hobbit, pretty much any good fantasy/sci-fi books. As for music, I tend toward new age instrumental, but I like a good variety of other music. Lately I've just been listening to whatever they put on the local Japanese radio stations here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gotten to travel much more than I ever anticipated I would when I was younger. While some may not consider this much, I have been to multiple cities in France, spent a day in Monaco, lived in Chile for almost 2 years, spent 6 weeks on an exchange program in Beijing, China, and now I live in Okinawa Japan. One of my favorites of all of these was hiking to a section of the Great Wall of China that hasn't been maintained and restored by the government. Seeing that was actually seeing the original wall (albeit somewhat in ruins).

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish, Chinese, some Japanese (that's my current endeavor).

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, China, France, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In

Chile, China, Japan, United States
