My name is Ru. I'm an outgoing, positive person. I believe in having experiences over things, and I measure wealth in friends. I love traveling and meeting all kinds of people. I'm from Las Vegas, NV, USA, but currently living in South Korea as an English teacher. Before here I lived in Spain for awhile, and it's where I left my heart. I'll be back to get it soon.

Above all else I LOVE sharing and listening to other's stories. I love knowing the little twists and turns along life that led us to where we are. Through story telling we unlock a new colors to people we probably wouldn't have otherwise seen. So if you have a story to tell, even if you think it's boring there's a good chance I won't 😉. I value the journey over the destination any day. What's the fun if we rush around so much that we can't see what's in front of us?

Beyond that I'm an activist and a vegetarian. I want to be a counselor for kids. But later haha. I'm committed to using this short time I have on the earth to positively impact as many people/animals/lives as I can, and have a great time doing it

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is one of my favorite parts of traveling. Like I said before, I love the opportunity to share stories and have connections in new places and what better place to find that than a positive community of kind strangers. =)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

-Fell in love on a warm night underneath the stars

-Got a birds eye view from above of the Costa Rican rainforest.

-Took a solo road trip though the western US. It was amazing to visit the native American reservations and drive through the crisp clear air and snowy mountains of Colorado under a bright moon.

-Getting lost in new cities. We learn so much about ourselves through finding our own way. :)
