About Me
Hi. I'm a Portuguese guy that moved to London over 2 and a half years ago. I have a Masters in Computer Science and worked as Software Engineer for that time. I'm a friendly, laidback person, always ready to try new experiences, and always trying to see things from all perspectives. I love music, and love playing music. I've been playing guitar on and off for the last 7 years, it's something that I really enjoy doing, even if I'm not that good at it :P
I love some good and thought provoking movie/TV show almost as much as I like to have meaningful conversations. I've made a one side promise with myself to truly be honest with everyone I meet, I feel like that's the only way to be honest with myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've decided to start a trip around the world because I love travelling and meeting new people and honestly, because I would also like to kind of rediscover myself. I don't have an end date in sight, I'm begging to think it might be for life :D
Because I wanted to really live the places I visit the fullest, and because happiness is always better when shared, I've joined Couchsurfing. I have never officially acted as a host in here (and since I'm currently travelling around the world I can't truly do it) but always wanted to do it in London.
Music, Movies, and Books
This one is hard, so here goes a random list of names I remembered and liked in each section. Enumeration is probably sorted, but not really sorted. Too hard to do it:
Music: Buckethead (definitely favourite artist), Jimi Hendrix, Gramatik, Snoop Dogg, Toundra, NWA, If These Trees Could Talk, Radio Moscow, Causa Sui.
Movies: Mononoke Hime, The Matrix Trilogy (the trilogy is the real story), Ikiru, Old School, 12 Angry Men, Whiplash, Oldboy, Trainspotting, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
TV Shows: Mr Robot, Preacher, Bojack Horseman, Community, Black Mirror, Brooklyn 99, Breaking Bad
Book: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The art of war, (I'm gonna have to be honest here, I haven't really read much in my adult life. I've been trying to change that ever since I began this trip)
Anime/Manga: Gintama, One Piece, One Punch Man, Seven Deadly Sins, Vagabond
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done crowd surfing once in my life, it happened in a Ty Segall show. It was one of the best experiences of my life. But that probably doesn't count since I really didn't do much except enjoy it. So, my first attempt at camping was done at Barragem do Alqueva, a place internationally certified as "Starlight Tourism Destination". I didn't actually saw much because it was super cloudy, but the whole night was still an amazing experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook (I'm not that good of a cooker, but I'm not the worst) and help with whatever I can: cooking, cleaning, random chores, even help at work (as I said, I really would like to try a bit of everything in life). I'm also there for a good hear if needed.
