Born in Juazeiro, in the interior of Bahia, I have always felt the world as the
backyard of my house, so traveling for me is a way of being in
constant contact with the best that life can offer me. So,
when I had the opportunity to do an exchange program in Canada, I saw that it would be
a possibility for me to grow both as a person and as a
professional, since the language I learned there would guide what I want
for my career: working with people. my experience in
Canada made me develop other skills, such as, for example,
communication, unblocking some obstacles I had. for seeing me in
need to interact with Canadians to learn the language
from there, I learned to live with different cultures, which attracts me a lot
since ages.

I have the four skills (listening/speaking/writing/reading) in Portuguese and
English. Having lived with Spanish-speaking people, I developed the
skill (listening). Also, I speak basic French. However, I have
desire to learn other languages. I'm in love with new
digital technologies, because the interconnection between the various cultures today takes place
through them.

I've worked with sales, which also favored my ability to
communication and, moreover, my organization, since I needed to
plan to hit targets.

I have also done volunteer work in some places, for example in Rio Grande do Norte, a northeastern state in Brazil,
I worked together with my brother-in-law who is a biologist in a camping and hostel with ecological structure.
The idea was to develop a camping and hostel with an ecological structure. In the project we built a collective bathroom with ecological sanitation,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing and other similar apps have the idea of ​​offering accommodation in exchange for volunteer work and this is very good because it makes the trip more accessible and both parties (host and guest) can benefit from it. It's an exchange of knowledge exchange and much more and these are some of the reasons why I'm in Couchsurfing. Applications like this came to unite cultures.
