Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to come in contact with people.
I've been in Brest and Minsk (Belarus), Moscow, Cheboksary and Rostov-na-Donu (Russia), Přepeře (Czech), Strasbourg (France), Siegen (Germany), Gummersbach (Germany) and Trier (Germany). And I hosted a couple of guests, as you can see in my references. ;)
For now, I'm living in Gießen, where rarely anybody comes over. So my references are getting older...

Interests

I'm interested in history and languages. I adore to learn new languages!
I worked long time as a volunteer in ESG (Evangelische Studierendengemeinde) - a protestant church community for students. So I am aware of being christian and queer (- which is possible, btw ;) ). I am totally into religious and cultural exchange - so don't worry, I'm not going to convert anybody.

I really adore good coffee and tea and knitting. So come for a tea break!

And I practised kickboxing before Covid-19 started, so I love to do some sports, too. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of old and new Soul-, Jazz-, Gospel- and Bluesmusic and of Slavic folk music. My favourite singers are Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Amy Whinehouse, Janelle Monae, Ben l'oncle Soul, Onuka, DakhaBrakha, and Shuma .

I love horror movies! But it's hard to find somebody, who wants to watch them with me...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Atomion in Brussels by night;
one Christmas, when my mum cried for happiness;
to meet friends after years again;
weeks of travelling around Belarus;
meeting cool Turkmens in Cheboksary (boys, you're rocking! ;) );
the fast spring in Rostov;
fabulous Ríga;
the beauties of the Český raj;
L'viv chocolate and coffee;
awesome Kyjiv,
Ljubljana by night,
the waterfall in the city centre of Tblisi.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn at least one sentence in every language. For my collection I'm specially looking for funny ones:

Furthermore I love to cook vegetarian. I'm kind of a creative cook. :)
