Hello! I'm Ruby, a 22 year old girl who just moved to Portland from Salt Lake City, Utah. I studied four years at the University of Utah, in Philosophy and Environmental Sustainability. I work in the food service industry, and have since I was fifteen. I write and sing my own music on the guitar, I enjoy painting, writing poetry, hiking, and generally being outdoors. I have a de-clawed cat who has traveled with me, and she will need a temporary home as well. She's very well mannered and mostly keeps to herself. I'm very clean, prefer to eat vegetarian/ vegan but I'm also tolerant of all diets. I hope to hear from you soon so we can meet up and chat!

I have a room in Portland starting July 1st. I have two weeks, June 14th-July 1st, in which I do not have a place to stay. I will be living in inner SE, and I would prefer to be somewhere close to that neighborhood. I'm willing to trade! For example I'm happy to cook or clean for you while I stay on your couch.

At this moment I'm listening to Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside. I really enjoy the music of Shakey Graves, Hank Williams, Sylvan Esso, Wild Child, Father John Misty, Leonard Cohen, The Growlers, Same Cooke, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Atmosphere.
My favorite movies are Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Step Brothers, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, almost anything french, and so so so many more.

Books. Lately I've been reading the fiction of Murakami, but right now I'm reading a non-fiction book called the Tao of Physics, but it's not quite grabbing my attention. I like Tom Robbins, Richard Brautigan, Kurt Vonnegut, etc..
