CURRENT MISSION

Let's break that myth about CS platform main purpose - that it is just to save money during the trip ;) I absolutely agree with opinion that have crossed also my mind - we're here to make CS spirit shine, make people being far away from home feel like home, get better authentic experience rather than touristic places focused only to bring profit in someone pocket, meet nice and kind people you became good friends with, so it lasts long time and goes beyond and above expectations from both sides.

ABOUT ME

If you're thrown in the water, you have two options:
1. Go under water and game over. Latvians say "plunkš".
2. Became the river yourself and take others to better way
I'm striving for second option.

Fun loving, reliable - will rather die than break my promise, but never expect that from others ;), easy-going, accurate, talented, easy to get on with person. I believe we all have common of sense that doesn't bring any harm for people we meet over CS, but just in case I'm wrong:

1. Please take in to consideration I have to plan my time as well and let me know about date and timing when you're requesting to host you. And please don't send me requests to stay for the same day, at least 3 days in advance would be perfect as I sometimes go out of the city.

2. I borrowed this from one friend - Please Do Not send me random friend requests and message 'hey wassup'. Take the time out to look at the sky to see what's up and you might get a different perspective on life

3. Trying your luck for dating? ..any such requests/gestures and you will be blocked and reported without any hesitation or clarification.

4. For people whom I host, please make sure to clean up after yourselves and treat my home the same way as I do - it's my sacred place.

5. It would be nice to offer some help or make time to interact as again, CS is way beyond a free accommodation.

6. Since time is also form of investment and I agree to meet up or host you, please invest 2-5 minutes for leaving reference about staying there. References is what other will relay on. And feel free to let me know if you feel the same way to get a reference from me as well.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In Couchsurfing, I've found already couple of friends whom I can message without hesitation to ask for a host and they can do the same for me. I feel blessed that in CS I get friends I can only wish and see they feel the same about me - so it's win-win situation.
