About Me
Hello Couchsurfing world!
What an adventure life is, eh?
With three bachelors degrees, I am just about about the most over educated RN. Great to have the diversity of knowledge. Life long learner. Always studying something (and love to share and teach!).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is great way to connect with people globally. I've surfed a bit and done some work exchange while on world travels (most not through this site, but I have appreciated my experiences from here as well). I am off on yet another adventure. How I interact with hosts and guests depends on their comfort level and mutual time commitment. I can be fairly social and animated with the right people and share in many laughs and adventures. I can also keep to myself and explore my own internal terrain just asking for general advice on the surrounding area.
Interests
Enjoy volunteer activities, dance (salsa, ballroom, swing, some ballet), make mochi, hike/trek, rafting, ski, meditation (many different varieties), daily yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, backpacking (all activities are twice as enjoyable with good company). Spend a fair amount of time cocreating new projects and ideas with several global communities (mostly based in spirituality in a non religious sense). Would love to get more gardening skills under my belt. I have the skills to make a raised bed with a saw and drill, but not the knowledge base to plant and grow appropriately.
Hope to see you on the road!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experienced a delivery room in rural India. It was ethically horrifying and eye-opening. Changed my life forever.
Dangled my feet over the edge of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Thrilling.
Co-discovered a novel Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus DNA sequence specific to Algeria breast tissue at the age of 22.
Hiked out of the deepest canyon in the world.
The most amazing experience that becomes deeper and flourishes to new heights everyday: learning to love all that is.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can share/teach Meditation, yoga, nursing/health, travel stories, nutrition, extensive essential oil knowledge, other things depending on host interest
I prefer to stay out of the political topic arena all together with hosts. This is a topic in which people can have very cherished and protected beliefs. I tend to gravitate toward being a devils advocate no matter what I believe which can be provocative, so I just prefer not to go there. As a nurse I have found COVID can also be a tender and heated topic for people, so I also prefer not to dwell on that topic either. I enjoy harmony.
