Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Rugilė, a curious soul from a little country called Lithuania, with a love for meaningful conversations and discovering new places through the eyes of locals.
By profession, I'm a medical doctor, currently in my first year of family medicine residency. I really enjoy talking about topics related to medicine, especially disease prevention, staying fit, and living healthily as long as possible— something like longevity. I love finding ways to include healthier foods into my routine, and I really enjoy discovering delicious healthy recipes and cooking nutritious meals.
I have a special place in my heart for ballet. I still dream of attending ballet classes and have been slowly working towards it—I've been taking barre classes for about a year. Last year, I had the chance to learn pickleball for about six months. I’ve tried running, but it just didn’t stick with me — I prefer other ways to stay active and enjoy moving my body.
I love theater and used to act in school plays. It was a wonderful experience that really helped me to express myself.
People say I have a warm and calm energy. I’m respectful, quite honest, and eager to listen—I truly believe everyone has a story worth hearing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a wide variety of music, though I tend to avoid heavy rock and metal. Lately, I’ve been enjoying more of Mac Miller and Gabrielė Vilkickytė, a Lithuanian singer. A big fan of Imagine dragons!
When it comes to books, I mostly read psychology-related topics that dive deep into trauma and specific life situations. Right now, I’m taking a break with some lighter novels to relax my mind after a long day at work.
My partner and I are currently watching award-winning films as well as timeless classics.
My favorite TV shows are Gilmore Girls and Modern Family — they feel like home to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the amazing things I’ve done is going to therapy for a few years. It has helped me understand myself better and feel more at peace with myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my insights and experience about medicine, healthy living, and cooking nutritious meals.
I would love to learn about different cultures, local traditions or just having a meaningful talk about life.
I also enjoy exchanging book recommendations and movie tips.
If possible, I’d love to try local food, visit scenic nature spots, attend a barre workout, or go to a ballet performance.
