我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I (used to be) new on Couchsurfing but I've been doing it "unofficially" for a long time.

I always try to travel to places where I have some friends that can offer me a roof over my head. I get to be with them and experience a piece of their lives there, I can have a more authentic experience rather than the usual touristic visit and of course, I get to save some money.

I wanted to try Couchsurfing mainly for the cultural exchange and the more authentic local experience it allows us to have. I believe that visiting a city or country is not just seeing its monuments and take snaps of them, which I also do, especially beautiful sceneries, but getting to know some locals, their traditions, food and the ways of living and experiencing life. That's how you get to know a country, by knowing it's people.

I have saved the life of a childhood friend... in the hospital!

My life was also saved by another childhood friend while I was working in Switzerland.

I am a great listener and I love to learn with other people and their experiences. I also like to share my knowledge and experiences, especially with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

I am keen on cultural exchange and I love to share Portuguese culture, language and curiosities. Also, I've been travelling and meeting a lot of people from different countries, so I have some great stuff to share.
