Hi, I'm Ruky (Rookie of the Year). I am 35 years old, and I LOVE TRAVELING! I love going to music festivals, concerts, museums, art galleries, movies, aquariums, zoo, dancing, and parks. I equally love to grab all the movie snacks and binge watch the latest mini series.

I work in TV/Film and love my job because everyday is a different day! It is so awesome to see amazing movies and tv shows being created from start to finish!

I was born and raised in NYC. I moved to New Zealand for a change in 2018. Now I split live between the 2 regions and avoid winter because I strongly dislike cold weather. The ultimate goal is live in NYC 5-6 months/NZ 5-6 months/travel 1-2 months.

Traveling and meeting new people is a passion of mine! I've created some amazing memories and new connections throughout my travels. But solo traveling also encouraged me to do things on my own even if no one is up to join when I'm home.

I can afford staying in a hotel but I'd rather stay with locals, learn about their culture, lifestyles, and adventures. Especially being from NYC, going to touristy places is fun but the real treasures are where the locals go!!!

Most of the people I've met through couch surfing and travels, I've seen again!!!
