Becoming what I'd like to be. Sharing hospitality with travellers is one part of this huge program.
I was born and bred in Caen and the deep Norman countryside. I've studied in Compiègne, Picardie (approx 45 minutes north of Paris) and am still living there.
I occupy my evenings riding mountain bikes, getting myself out to see various people, dancing (salsa)harvesting mushroms sometimes, reading about local History, geeking on Linux, video games, reading... Well, quite a simple stuff.
I simply enjoy meeting people, especially foreign travellers. They usually have two great advantages : being more openminded than the average and opening my own mind (helping it to get more opened than the average). That's why I'm on CouchSurfing.com
Just trying to be responsible for my own life and stop letting it go its own way, me being a witness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not a big leader. I'm just offering my couch and a few beers, help and advice if needed, to the travellers who get lost in my not very touristical but quite lovely town. It already worked once.
And of course I hope to be able to check if other people's couches are as much comfortable as mine.
Well I've hosted Simon (see "Simon Little" on CS) for two nights on his riding trip from Amsterdam to Istanbul.
It was my first CS experience. It has been a total success, so I'd enjoy to welcome any couchsurfer another time.
I met three nice Bremer people for a drink on november, nd I enjoyed Marianne's hospitality for a diner with the mates from Beauvais.
Loads of things : renewables, ecology, strategy games, magic, bad and ridiculous movies, dancing, History, rugby (NOT as a player ;) ), mountainbikes (NOT as a spectator), the forest of Compiègne, reading, drinking belgian beers, GNU Linux, enjoying people...
