About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore as many sofas in as many countries as possible. GO!

ABOUT ME

Well, as the daringly obvious name suggests, two of my passions(!) in life are drinking Dark Rum (no Barcardi here please) and listening to Reggae! If you have the same interests, then great!! But if not, don't worry, I do have further depths too (I think..!)

At the start of November 2010 I set off on a round the world trip, that, money providing, will see me on the road for a year. So far I have not only met some incredible characters, hilarous personalities (all of which have been included in the travel journal!) and friends for life, but I have also learned of many different ways to 'travel'. After all, a year is a long time. I have just left my Thai family in Chiang Mai (a mix of Thai friends, customers and the odd Westerner) and there I learnt to really 'live' in a culture different to my own. I hope CoughSurfing will again give me the opportunity to see the world differently (cheese!) through the eyes of locals and stinky sofas!

I returned to the UK at the start of August and after exactly one month of catching up with old friends I set off again for a new adventure, upping roots and living in Sevilla, Spain for a year.

PHILOSOPHY

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"
and more recently...
"Sabaai, Sabaai" - a great Thai saying that literally means "Relax, Relax". Brilliant!
