I'm a very friendly person who enjoys meeting people from all over the world. I have an outgoing personality and I am open minded. I love nature, wild places, the sea and cats. I was born in a small village and I appreciate the little things in life. I'm not a materialistic person and I enjoy helping people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had many great experiences couchsurfing and looking forward to having more and more. I've met very interesting people and learnt a lot about different cultures, religions and ways of life. It's always a rewarding experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found CS before I came to Edinburgh to live. I didn't know anyone in Scotland so I decided to register on the CS website and find someone who could help me to start my new life in Edinburgh. And it was then I met Oliver, a Mexican guy who was living there and hosted me. The same day I got the flat I also got a room to stay for a month. Luckily one of Oliver's flatmates was going back to Italy and the room was going to be empty so I snapped it up. I really got on well with Oliver, I still keep in touch to this day.

Interests

Travelling is one of my passions. In October 2013 I started a journey without a return ticket. I visited many countries in Southeast Asia and also India and Sri Lanka. I'm still on that journey...

I'm very concerned about the problems which affect the Earth and always searching about new ways to help the Planet. I love volunteering, specially in organic farming. In the last eight months I have participated in different projects and have learnt a lot and I'm eager to learn more. I has always been food conscious and would like to obtain the skills to sustain my own organic vegetables. I love plants and my house is always full of them.

I'm passionate about yoga and meditation but I'm just a beginner and I want to improve my knowledge of both.

In my free time I go cycling whenever the weather permits (in Scotland is always raining).

I'm very into recycling and I love keep old clothes and customize them.

Dancing makes me feel alive!!! I can't live without music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies and books which tell real stories and move you. I don't watch TV but I love watching documentaries. I love reggae and dub, I prefer the old reggae, old style roots music, one of my favourite singers is Desmond Dekker from Israelites. Apart from reggae I like Indian and Moroccan music. If I go for a party I prefer jungle and drum&bass. I can't forget Flamenco, always in my playlist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In September 2013 I sold everything I had, leaving behind my family, friends and my home. My boyfriend and I are currently travelling around Southeast Asia and with no return ticket.
