I enjoy climbing on rocks, home-brewing, naps on sundays, hammocks, crisp apples, bike tours, euchre, tennis slams, backgammon, blue grass music, national parks, prAna, a good docuseries, Patagonia flannels, and the wisdom of quiet moments.

By virtue of my work and education, I have been a Buffalo, Pioneer, Hoya, Spartan, Bronco, Trojan, and Blue Devil. I have lived in New York, Washington D.C., Colorado, Michigan, Oregon, and California. West is best.

I've surfed in the Scottish Highlands and in the Eastern and Western United States. I've hosted surfers from New Zealand to Finland; from Spain to China. My couchsurfing experiences, both hosting and surfing, have been LIFE experiences. Loren is my partner. Aug is our friendly cat.
