Overview
About Me
I am an Indian Expat living in Germany since over half a decade. An engineer by profession, I spend most of my time either traveling or doing something fun which involve meeting new people.
Recently, I realised life is short. And, that I needed to make the most of it while I still can. I plan to spend good part of my life traveling, exploring different cultures, meeting great people, meeting fellow travellers and listening to their stories while making friends and memories along the way. :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I love to travel. That's the first reason. Then I love to meet new people, make new friends, learn about cultures and history. I have met lot of cool and interesting people and travelers through CS meetups, and I'm here because I want to continue the experience. :)
Interests
Well, there are plenty.
- I love to travel on short or long trips around the world.
- I like to hike during the free weekends.
- I like taking pictures. I have 100s of GBs of pictures from around Europe.
- I love music, esp. live music and really love going to open air concerts.
- I also like to meet people, get to know the culture and history.
- I very much like to play some sports, esp. Table Tennis (Ping Pong) and Volleyball. I am a little scared of water, but I would very much like to improve my swimming and get rid of that fear of mine.
- Of the indoor games, I love Carrom and enjoy playing different card/board games

Music: The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Nirvana, U2
Movies: Too many to list. :)
Books: I am not an avid book reader, but I did like works of Coelho, Mario Puzo and George Orwell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well amazing or crazy or stupid. It's perspective. :-)
-- Camped in the woods north of Czech-Republic for about a week. Rented a cabin in the woods by a small lake. Away from phone, laptop or anything whatsoever, it was a fantastic experience. Peace. Similar experience in the woods of Norway. :-)
-- Hiked upto 'Pravčická brána', about 15km in all. It's worth mentioning as I did the hike while walking with crutches. Well, to justify my decision to take up the hike, I was just expecting it to be couple of KMs and not 15+. But, the sense of achievement and confidence that I got after it, was just amazing.
-- Broke my leg. Took a flight across continents to get it operated at the comfort of home. Missed my connecting flight in Dubai. "Hell yeah. Let's visit Dubai. Doctor anyways needs to fix my leg. He can fix a little more." Requested a 24 hour layover. Got VISA on arrival. And I was out sight seeing on wheel-chair. Well, I did have a helpful friend though. ;-)
