Hi! I’m Ruri and I’m new to the couchsurfing community.
I’m a 21-year-old student at a university in Tokyo, and I’m planning to study bio/environmental studies!
I love singing, and enjoy reading and making art, even though I’ve been a bit too busy to do much of either recently.
OH but I am a HUGE gamer! Wild Rift fans, anyone? LoL? Ugh, please, I love me some gamer friends. :)))
Japanese is my native tongue, but I’ve lived in the United States for 11 years, so English is good too!
I’m looking forward to meeting some awesome people on this app:)

I’ve always yearned for connections beyond the usual.
I thought it would be wonderful to get to know some local people as I travel, enjoy the food and culture with them, and make friends!
I would love if you could show me places and things only the locals know :))
Would be a big plus if we could teach each other some new languages!!!

My favorite movies, if I had to choose, would probably be everything Ghibli because it’s just pure perfection!
But I always love a good fantasy movie. Recently romance has been pretty interesting too:)

Books are just too wonderful to pick one, but as I mentioned earlier with the movies, fantasy series are my go-to. Although, these days I’ve found deep emotional reads the most vivid.

Hmm… I’ve lived a fairly normal life, aside from the part that I’ve lived in a few different places, but maybe this would be the time when I participated in the school homecoming queen contest?
I probably was (then and now) the only Asian girl on the list…. Lol.
Or I could talk about my experiences in the Caribbean and Latin America! I loved going on vacation there, and I once went down the Caribbean sea on a submarine. It was the most wild experience😆
Costa Rica was just such a beautiful place. So many colorful birds!
