Hi there!
As you already read above, my name is Ruslan, I'm from small town Zolochiv, Kharkiv oblast, Ukraine.
I work in IT company in support department. I like my work because it provides interesting tasks for me to solve. I'm a big fan of the puzzles :)
One more thing that I like to do is discovering and learning new, it can be anything: wikipedia article about extinct birds species, cooking receipt of baked chicken with pineapple, programming language python, сourse about alternative energy sources, etc. I'm always open for new passion :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the midle of 2014 we with my girlfriend (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/olya-miroshnik) decided to travel. We started from Kiyv and Lviv, than were Uman, Odessa and manors of Kharkiv oblast.
And now, in the end of 2015, we are going to visit another countries, to meet with other cultures and languages. So let journey begin :)
Here I'm going to find interested people from interested places all over the world, who will be able to show me the true beautifulness of our planet and who will take a part of my world with he/she.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music. I enjoy listening to rock music: Pink Floyd, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys. These guys usually make my day.
About books. I can read anything, I just need to read every single day. But my favourites are "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, "The Twelve Chairs" by Ilf and Petrov, "Quo Vadis" by Henryk Sienkiewicz, "A Hero of Our Time" by Mikhail Lermontov, "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Ernest Hemingway. Also I like to read nonfiction, e.g. "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking and "The Black Swan" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb.

About movies. I'm not a big fan of cinema, but I have few favourites films: "Star Wars", "Back to the future", "Pulp Fiction", "Godfather" and almost every documentary film about space, physics laws, nature, etc. Also I very like good jokes, so I'm a fan of "Monty Python" show and "8 out of 10 cats does countdown", british humor is the best thing that our universe has made ever!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I had a trip to Zaporizha with my friends to jump from the 30m bridge.

Teach, Learn, Share

Most of all I want to learn different cultures and languages, to watch how peoples live their lifes in other countries.
I can share my knowledge of the world, of the Ukraine and it's culture. I can teach ukrainian and russian languages.
