ABOUT ME

I'm currently in travel mode. I spend a large portion of my avaliable brain space on silly novels and what I might want to listen to next, but if I'm low on decision making power you can bet I'm singing along to Mason Jennings.
I think the out of doors is the place for me. I find myself happiest when I can sleep outside and away from people and cars and roads and buildings and all the trappings of this age (though I do use the technology of this time, mostly to keep warm and dry).
And I drive a car.

Música, películas y libros

For the last few years I've been nursing a love affair with My Morning Jacket. I still can't definitively say what it is about their sound that draws these emotions, but I like them quite a lot.
Also Mason Jennings has become, over the past year or so my stand by tune. I think he makes some of the most interesting music I've heard in years.
Recently I've been catching up on some that have been stand by's for years: Dylan, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, The Beastie Boys, John Prine, Acid Mothers Temple, Aphex Twin, Beirut, Ween...
But really within the realm of talented musicians there's very little I've heard and disliked, although that's not saying I don't have dislikes there are just very few.

As far as books go I don't really know where to start. you could look at this cool site I found recently where I've attempted to recall what I've read and while it's far from a complete list you could get an idea: goodreads.com. My profile is Russell.

Algo increíble que he hecho

In August 2008 I slept at 14,929 feet on top of Mt. Whitney at the end of the JMT. That was an amazing end to a very eventful journey through the Sierra Nevada Range.
