About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The plan is to see central europe on my motorbike. So far I have made the journey from the UK and I am staying with friends in Germany, My mission is to travel round Italy until May to meet with friends in Korsika

ABOUT ME

I have taken a years sabatical from work at a London College, and so far this year have lived in Spain for 3 months, travelled India for 2 months and got my motorbike license, bought a bike and driven it through the freezing cold and wet to Germany, so far 1 month here. I have until August to travel and see Europe before I return to London to live and work.
I am a dedicated Artist and teacher and love what I do. I am a perpetual escapist and love to see new places meet new people and have new experiences. Life is short and I want to see what it has to offer outside of my hometown.

PHILOSOPHY

We are here to seperate truth from illusion. I believe that life is divine and that we have massive potential as human beings. I think we are living in a very difficult media saturated time and it is harder than ever to penetrate the bullshit and appreciate life and ourselves for the truely amazing creatures we are. Surely billions of years of evolution has not led us to zone out in front of the TV. If we could only get some perspective on ourselves. That is what travel and experience for me is all about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfers and as most things in life you only think about them when you need something, as I am currently travelling I have no couch to offer but in the near future I intend to have at least 2 in my flat in London. At this stage I am simply looking for somewhere to pitch a tent.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Terry Gilliam, he is pure genius.
Favourite films: 'The Fountain', way better than the Wrestler (Darren Aronofski)
´Zeitgeist´(the Movie) 1 & 2 (Peter Joseph) It will get you thinking for sure.
'The Princess Bride' (Rob Reiner), Absolutely dumbfounded by this film, if you havent seen it you are in for a real treat. The best cast in any film ever. Enjoy, Pure Joy.
´Joe Dirt´(David Spade)
Taxi 1,2,3 (Luc Besson writer) I could list thousands but these are the top in my head.

TV: Arrested Development, Summer Heights High, Bruce Parry stuff

Music I love autentic old man stuff, Love everything from The Beach Boys - The Black Crowes, like all music generally its all got its place. Donovan is amazing. I lived next door to George Harrisons house for an few years and I have an obsession with his music and the beatles but who doesn't? Brian wilson is a dude, love captain beefheart, Love, Arthur Lee, The Verve were what I grew up with along with loads of good british music. Love the Beta Band, Orange Can, anything remotely Psychedelic, that means even Take That.

I don't read much, when most people find the time to read I am drawing or looking at pictures, Print I have enjoyed: The Secret Life of Plants, Great Apes, Herat and Torch, Rick Griffins Transcendence, Juxtapoz magazine, High Art (Ted Owen), and millions of art reference books.
