Back in London making the money to take off travelling again!

ABOUT ME

A bit mixed-up. Born in Scotland, English parents, went to high school in Ireland. Left me with a funny accent and itchy feet. Travelling seems to run in my family anyway. Went to India solo way back in 2004 and came back with a bad dose of the travel bug. Been bouncing round India, China, Southeast Asia and South America for about 6 months a year ever since, don't seem to be slowing down yet :D

Interests

Travelling, obviously. Otherwise, I've been playing guitar more than half my life, DJing and making beats for almost as long, and spinning poi for the last 5 or 6 years. I play a bit of tabla too but they weigh a ton so can't take them travelling. I read a lot, try to fill my head with bits of information about all kinds of random stuff. Teaching myself a bit of web design and programming right now - a bit of a geek and proud of it :)

almost all music except the shit in the charts. Blues, folk, funk, classical, breaks, electro-swing, chill, bluegrass, soul, dancehall, dubstep, drum n bass, ambient, psy, salsa, jazz, techno, rock, rap, reggae, whatever...

Books... Hunter S Thompson, Terry Pratchett, Iain Banks (with or without the M), Chuck Palahniuk, Haruki Murakami, Irvine Welsh, Isaac Asimov, George Orwell, Frank McCourt, Greg Bear, Aldous Huxley, Danny Wallace, Stephen King, Roddy Doyle, and all sorts of travel writing and biographies.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach anyone to spin a bit of poi, from the first couple of tricks right up to advanced stuff. Also guitar but it helps if you can play a bit already - i do a lot of percussive stuff and altered tunings which you might not have come across before.
